Why do I have to clean out my truck bed before going through the car wash?
Debris that is left in truck beds can cause damage to your vehicle as well as the car wash equipment if not removed prior to entering the car wash. This debris might either get caught in the cloth or be blown back onto the car and cause scratching to your car or the cars that follow.
Will the car wash soap hurt the environment?
No. At Soapbox Express Carwash we are part of the Earth Ready Program. This means we use soaps and products that are safer than conventional car wash chemicals for vehicles, the environment, and the people who use them.
How much water does Soapbox Express Carwash save?
Soapbox Express Carwash is a pending member of the WaterSavers program! WaterSavers carwashes use only 40 gallons or less of fresh water per carwash – less than the typical home washing machine. We strive to use even less for every wash. Learn more here.
Is my truck too big?
Unfortunately, the height of any car, truck or vehicle cannot exceed 7 feet, 2 inches to go through our carwash tunnel.
Are the vacuums and air really free?
Yes! The self-serve vacuums and air are always free for our customers.
I’m moving, how do I cancel my Pit Pass Membership?
You may cancel your Pit Pass membership at any time. If you are interested in canceling your membership, you can do so by calling 512-428-5855 10 days before your renewal date.
When will I get charged for my Pit Pass Membership?
Your credit card will be charged every 30 days from the day that you sign up and every month on that day thereafter.
Do you take credit/debit payments?
Yes, we do! Our quick pay automated terminals allow you to easily pull in and pay for your wash.
Why is my car still wet after the dry cycle?
Soapbox Express Carwash uses powerful dryers or “blowers” at the end of the wash cycle to remove most of the water used to rinse the car in the car wash. There will, however, always be some amount of water left on the car. Because we use a Spot Free Rinse comprised of pure water from our Reverse Osmosis filtration system, any remaining water left on the car will dry within minutes without leaving spots on your car.

How long does the car wash take?
Unlike car washes typically found at gas stations, Soapbox Express Carwash uses a conveyor that keeps cars moving even if there are a few cars in line. The entire wash cycle lasts no longer than THREE MINUTES and since there is no waiting for the car in front of you to finish, you will rarely spend more than five minutes from the time you pull in to when you are back on your way.
How does the car wash work?
Soapbox Express Carwash uses a state-of-the-art computerized exterior conveyor wash machine. You get to stay in your car while being automatically guided through the enclosed open-air tunnel where the vehicle is soaked, soaped, washed, polished, rinsed with spot-free water and blown dry all in a matter of minutes.
